‘Krishi Mitra’ – Self-Employment Opportunity at the Gram Panchayat Level
The Swarnaangeen Krishi Samadhan Foundation provides farmers with access to agricultural inputs, soil testing, pesticides, fungicides, farm equipment, labor management, grading and packing materials, transportation facilities, and an online auction platform to ensure farmers get the best prices for their produce. All these services are delivered through Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Cooperative Societies, and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
To implement this initiative at the Gram Panchayat level, local youth who have good knowledge of agriculture and are willing to work for the benefit of farmers can take up the role of a ‘Krishi Mitra’ (Agriculture Friend) as a self-employment opportunity.
